Heavy penalty for Bissaka to miss Manchester United against Villarreal and Atalanta in the Champions League

The European Football Association (UEFA) has extended the ban of Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka for two matches in the Champions League.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka had violently interfered with the Young Boys player in the first round, in the Champions League group stage, and received a red card, which affected the result of the match and caused Manchester United to lose 1-2.

It is known that any player receiving a red card in a Champions League match means a one-match ban, which confirms his absence from Manchester United against Villarreal in the second round of the group stage this evening, at Old Trafford.

But the European Union's Supervisory and Ethics and Discipline Authority decided to extend Wan-Bissaka's ban for another match in the Champions League after United's match against Villarreal for the practice of roughness against the Young Boys player.

This confirms the absence of Bissaka from Manchester United, against Villarreal this evening, and against Atalanta in the third round of the group stage in the Champions League, at Old Trafford, which is scheduled to be held next October 20.
