Preliminary investigations revealed that the fire broke out inside the old Al-Ahly first team football stadium, which is being demolished during the current period, due to the cracks in it, which threaten its continuation on the island.

The fire broke out, during the demolition of the old runway, as workers who cut the iron of the runway, using oxygen welding, caused the runway to catch fire.

A limited fire broke out in the old amphitheater of Mukhtar Al-Teach Stadium, during the process of evacuating it in preparation for its demolition, according to the decision of the Board of Directors, and the civil protection forces were called, which pushed two fire engines, and succeeded in extinguishing the fire and controlling the situation completely, and the accident did not result in any losses or injuries
