Avocado is the top fruit that protects against high blood pressure

High blood pressure causes serious diseases, as many people around the world suffer from high blood pressure, which causes serious health repercussions that can be avoided by making some adjustments in the diet, and eating a lot of a certain type of fruit.

Nearly a third of adults in the UK have high blood pressure, which increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

It is difficult to know the extent of the risk of developing high blood pressure, which makes the adoption of a balanced diet an ideal health option.

And, according to the British newspaper "Daily Express", nutrition expert Sarah Brewer, there is an easy way to protect against high blood pressure, which is to eat more avocados.

According to Brewer, avocados contain low amounts of sodium salts, and are also rich in magnesium and potassium.

And the nutritionist advised those who do not like to eat this fruit, to replace the cooking oil they use with avocado oil.

Breuer explained that studies revealed great benefits of avocado, such as lowering cholesterol levels, due to plant sterols, soluble fiber, and antioxidants that it provides.

"Avocados are low in sodium salts and provide potassium, calcium, magnesium and vitamin E, all of which have a positive effect on blood pressure control," she added.

"Avocados are also a rich source of healthy oils, as up to 30% of the fruit's pulp is made up of the same monounsaturated fats found in olive oil," she added.
