The badminton trio prepares for the July 3 Tokyo Olympics at the Cairo camp

Hisham El-Tohamy, president of the Badminton Federation, announced that the three qualified teams for the Tokyo Olympics will enter a camp in Cairo next July 3, and will travel to the Olympic Games.

Tohamy also stressed the difficulty of preparing in a European camp before the Olympic Games due to the lack of time and exams.

Al-Tohamy said in a statement to “The Seventh Day” in advance that the union was preferring between Cairo and Sharm El-Sheikh, but the capital was settled to host the camp in light of Hani’s association with the university’s exams in Cairo, especially that it is in the final year at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

The Egyptian Badminton Federation received a letter from its international counterpart recently, confirming the qualification of 3 Egyptian players to the finals of the upcoming Olympic Games to be held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, from July 23 to August 8.

And the trio "Hadia Hosni - Doha Hani - Adham Hatem" climbed to the Olympics in the women's doubles and mixed doubles competitions.

Hadia Hosny has qualified for the Olympics twice before, in 2008 in Beijing and 2012 in London.

On the other hand, Hisham El-Tohamy, president of the Egyptian Badminton Federation, won the membership of the board of directors of the African Union for the next four years in the elections that were held via "video conference" technology, and "Tohamy" obtained the overwhelming majority of votes for the membership position.
