The city of Miami, Florida, USA, witnessed the collapse of an 11-storey building in the state capital, Miami, and aerial footage showed a complete collapse of the side of the building overlooking the sea from the large residential tower located in the “Surf Side” municipality, and some floors fell and the remaining facade of the building was crushed. As a result of the collapse, according to the "Euro News" network.

And the "Euro News" network presented the process of landing rescue teams on the collapsed building to search for the missing amid the collapse and under the rubble, as the authorities announced that 51 people were missing in the collapse of part of a building in Miami, Florida, USA.

In the same context, US President Joe Biden declared a state of emergency in Florida, after the collapse of an 11-storey building in the state capital, Miami.

The White House said in a statement, posted on its website today, Friday, that Joe Biden requested federal assistance to supplement state and local response efforts due to the emergency conditions resulting from the collapse of the Surfside Building on Thursday.

The statement explained that Biden's action authorizes the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate all disaster relief efforts aimed at alleviating the hardship and suffering that the emergency causes on local residents and provide appropriate assistance to those in need.

He added that emergency measures authorized under Title V of the Stafford Act are to save lives, protect property, and public health and safety, and to reduce or avoid the risk of disaster in Miami County.
