Zamalek settles to amend Imam Ashour's contract

Zamalek club officials have decided to amend the contract of Imam Ashour, the midfielder of the first football team, with the start of the new football season, especially since the player's current contract value does not match his potential and his performance with the team.

Imam Ashour gets with Zamalek an annual salary of 800 thousand pounds, which puts him in the lowest category among the rest of his teammates, which prompted club officials to amend the player's contract at the beginning of the next season.

Ashour joined Zamalek at the beginning of last season from the ranks of the Ghazl El Mahalla team, and participated with Zamalek in 13 league matches this season, during which he scored 4 goals and made 3, and the player also participated in 4 matches in the African Champions League.
In a different context, Hussein El-Sayed, a member of the Zamalek club's management committee, confirmed that he had asked the Football Association not to play his team any match in the premier league competition until the completion of all postponements.
Hussein Al-Sayed added, in his statements after the club meeting in the Football Association this evening, Monday, that he asked Zamalek not to play any match until the postponements are completed in order to achieve the principle of equal opportunities among all teams.

Zamalek is at the top of the table with 55 points, while Al-Ahly ranks second with 41 points, and the red team has 6 postponed matches, and in the event that the Red Genie wins all its deferrals, the difference with Zamalek will increase to 4 points and clinch the top.

The Zamalek team rested for 5 days after a negative draw with the El Gouna team, yesterday, Sunday, and the team is scheduled to resume training next Saturday in preparation for the Aswan meeting scheduled for next June 17 in the twenty-sixth round of the league competition.
