Half of the inmates in a prison in Belgium are infected with the new Corona virus

The authorities in Belgium announced that half of the inmates in "Namur" prison had been infected with the new Corona virus, which prompted them to isolate the prison from its external surroundings.

A spokesman for the prison administration said, "Russia Today" news channel reported, today, Saturday, that "the measures taken will be evaluated on a regular basis, but the situation is very dangerous," adding: "One of the prisoners is being treated in hospital."

For his part, other sources said, "The test results of 61 out of 132 prisoners were positive," indicating that about half of the prison staff (57 people) were also injured.

The prisoners were tested after discovering a positive case earlier this month. It is worth noting that the prison isolation means that all visits will be suspended and the yard closed.
